YouTube has introduced a new update that gives users the ability to control their video recommendations. It has made some changes to YouTube’s watch history. Users can now disable the video recommendations when they turn off the Watch history.

YouTube Disable Video Recommendations
Google via the YouTube Help page, “Starting today, we’re changing how you see recommendations on YouTube, based on your watch history settings. If you have Youtube watch history off and have no significant prior watch history, features that require watch history to provide video recommendations will be disabled – like your YouTube home feed.”
If you turn off your watch history, YouTube will no longer suggest related videos and content on the platform. This means that your watch history is now disabled and, the video that will appear on your youtube home screen is totally new to you with no resemblance to your viewing patterns.
If you turn off your watch history then your home feed will be more streamlined, giving you access to a variety of content to explore and choose from them no matter if you are using Android, iOS, or the Web.
Your feed of recommended videos will no longer be present, there are different appearances on their homepage making way for a clearer view of the search bar. It also enhances the ease of searching, browsing subscribed channels, and exploring tabs.
The new disable video recommendations feature will be beneficial for those users who prefer to search rather than browse recommendations.
