As per the WAbetaInfo, the feature tracker of WhatsApp report, the meta-owned messaging app is developing a new feature that allows businesses to subscribe to the meta verified. Users will get a clear and trustworthy indicator of the authenticity of a business when they see the verified badge on any channel.

There will be a new setting available within the app settings that allows businesses to subscribe to Meta Verified and build trust with a verified badge to the customers. The new Meta Verified Subscription will replace WhatsApp Premium, the previous subscription that included a custom business link and the ability to link up to 10 devices.

The custom business link and ability to link up to 10 devices will be available in the Meta Verified subscription. The Meta Verified subscription will be an optional feature and accessible to businesses. As per the report, the Meta Verified subscription will include proactive impersonation protection, designed to quickly identify and mitigate potential impersonation threats.
