WhatsApp rolling out the New end-to-end encryption backup feature. It always rolls the amazing features to enhance the users’ experience. You must be using WhatsApp to stay connected with your friends, colleagues, and others. It is one of the most popular instant messaging apps.
Recently it has rolled out the multi-device feature for beta users. Now it is rolling out the new feature for backups. Today I am explaining to you about WhatsApp’s New feature for backups. Read this post till the end to know more about this.
WhatsApp new end-to-end encryption backup feature
WhatsApp’s new feature allows users to secure their backups from unauthorized persons. Users’ chat history will be secure with the encryption security feature which means no one can read their chat history. Users have to set the password to secure the chat history and media backups.
They have to enter the password to decrypt their backups when they restore their chat history and media on WhatsApp. In case the users forget the password then they won’t be able to restore their backups.
But it supports the encryption key that will help users to restore their passwords. It also contains the numeric digits and lowercase letters between ‘a’ and ‘f’. If the users forget the key or lose the key then WhatsApp won’t help users to restore their passwords.
The password is private and it won’t be shared with its parent company, Facebook, Apple, and Google as per the WABetaInfo. After setting the end-to-end encryption feature no one can read the users’ content.
Your chat history and media backups are secured with an end-to-end encryption backup feature and unauthorized persons won’t be able to access your content. This feature is currently rolled out for beta version 18.104.22.168. It will roll out soon for all versions.
