WhatsApp New End-to-End Encrypted Backups feature
According to the WABetaInfo the feature tracker of WhatsApp, it is testing the new End-to-End Encrypted Backup feature. This feature will help users to secure their backups when the users take the backup on Google Drive. The feature development was seen in 2.21.10.2. Users can set the password to set the End-to-End Encrypted security on their backups.

They can enter the password or passcode to decrypt their backups when they restore it on WhatsApp. Because of end-to-end encrypted security, no one can see your backup content. The unauthorized users won’t be able to access your content. Users have to set the passcode or password to configure the end-to-end encrypted backups to their backup.

This feature is currently under development and it will roll out in the future update. But it has introduced Several UI changes. You can see the above image to see the UI changes. WhatsApp will add a status indicating if the backup is encrypted using its end-to-end encryption.
WhatsApp will give the possibility to Change passwords or disable encryption when the encrypted backup is enabled as per the WABetaInfo report. It also said that the password is private and it won’t be shared with their parent company, Facebook. This feature is currently under development. It will roll out on the Future update.
