YouTube Testing Dedicated Shorts Tab

Currently, the Shorts feature tab is on the top of the left corner. But YouTube is testing to change the position of the Shorts feature to the Navigation Bar soon. It is testing to replace the Explore tab with the Shorts tab. The Explore tab will move to the top in the place of the Shorts. The Shorts will move to the place of the Explore tab.

Users who are using the beta version 16.17.36 may see the Shorts dedicated tab on the Navigation tab. This new change on the tab is testing for both Android and iOS users. The new dedicated Shorts tab change is not testing for all users. A certain number of users can see the new change on the navigation tab. YouTube will start testing for more users soon.

Recently it started testing the new Timed Comments feature. The YouTube new feature allows users to view the timed comments to the exact moment of a video they are watching. Also, this feature allows users to add comments on the video of the creator and link them to a specific part of that video.

With the help of these timed comments, the other users can easily find exactly which specific part of the video the commenter is talking about. Users can tap on that timestamp to jump on a specific part of the video.
