According to the WABetaInfo the feature tracker of WhatsApp, it is working on a new feature that will allow users to unlink from its linked devices. This feature is currently in beta version 2.21.30.16. This feature will be available for the multi-device support feature in future updates. It seems that WhatsApp will roll out the multi-device support feature soon.

Currently, you can only delete your account or uninstall WhatsApp to log out/unlink from the devices. This new feature works on both WhatsApp Messenger and WhatsApp business versions. It will also roll out this feature in Android.

The new WhatsApp logout feature will replace the Delete account option which means the users won’t have to delete the account or uninstall their WhatsApp to log out from the devices. But it might be changed, the report said.

The Multi-device feature will roll out in Multi-device with WhatsApp Web and Multi-device and other devices according to the WABetaInfo. The WhatsApp Web option will allow users to use the WhatsApp on Web without their main device connected to the internet. Currently, if you use the WhatsApp on Web then your main device should be connected to the internet.

The second option will allow you to connect your main WhatsApp with up to 4 devices. The limit of 4 devices might change in the future. Also, it requires an internet connection to the main device.
