How to enable Auto-Delete messages on Telegram

You can set the timers to automatically delete the chat after some time when you enable the self-destruct messages. The new self-destruct messages feature automatically delete all the new chats, existing chats are unaffected by this feature.

To turn the Auto-Delete messages for your account you have to open the Telegram app on your phone. Tap on the Hamburger menu icon (three horizontal lines) button to expand the left panel. Tap on the Settings option from the menu that appears once you tap on the three horizontal lines.

After this, tap on the Privacy and Security option under the Settings tab. Tap on the Auto-Delete Messages option under Privacy and Security. Now you will see the Self Destruct Timer option and by Default, it is set on the Off option. You have to enable the self-destruct timer option.

When you enable the self-destruct timer option then all new messages in the chat will be automatically deleted for everyone at the time you set after you sent them. You will see the Self destruct timer After 1 Day, After 1 Week, After 1 month, and the Set custom time option.

You are able to set the Custom time to delete your sent messages for everyone on Telegram. Select any options for your self-destruction message or set the custom time for your self-destruction message.
