To hide the Activity status on Instagram, you have to open Instagram and go to your profile by tapping on the Profile icon at the bottom of the right corner. Tap on the Hamburger icon (three lines) to access the menu and tap on “Settings and Privacy”.

Tap on the “Messages and Story replies” option within Settings and Privacy. You will see the “Show Activity Status” option under who can see you’re online within the Messages and story replies. Tap on the Show Activity Status option and toggle the switch to turn off your activity status.
Once you turn off the show activity status option your online status will be no longer visible to others. One of the important things to note that, once you hide your activity status, you will also be no longer see other users’ online status.
