Download Instagram Reels from the app on your phone
Users can now easily save reels created by public accounts to their camera roll directly from the app. The downloaded reel includes a watermark with the creator’s Instagram handle along with the Instagram logo similar to TikTok. The downloaded Reels are not allowed to be used for commercial purposes.
How to download Instagram Reels
To download the Reels, you have to open the Instagram app and go to the reel you wish to download. Once you select the reels that you want to save, tap on the ‘Share’ icon on the reel. Tap on the Download icon to save the content on your camera roll.
One of the important things to note is that not every reel is available for download. All the Reels posted on the user’s private account will not become downloadable. Also, for Instagram users aged below 18 with public settings, the default setting for downloading reels will be turned off. But the downloading reel setting can be turned on at any time.
Public account users can turn off the ability to download their reels for people. If any reel isn’t eligible to be downloaded then you can tap on the three dots and save it to watch it later on Instagram.
