WhatsApp to release new text formatting tools
The meta-owned messaging app is introducing new additional text formatting tools for messaging. It is working on three new tools that will let users style their messages. It will not only allow users to style their messages but also improve their communications experience.
The new “Code Block” feature is making the sharing and reading of lines of code much more convenient and readable for users on this platform. It is useful for software developers, programmers, and the tech industry who share code snippets with others.
The second formatting tool is the “Quote” feature will help users refer back to specific messages or responses in a chat. The new text formatting tool Quote is different than the current quote messages feature that lets users highlight a certain portion of text.
The third formatting tool is “Create text lists” which allows users to simply create a list of items on the platform.
The new text formatting tools are currently under development. But the meta-owned messaging apps will soon roll out new text formatting tools for messaging.
WhatsApp has already the four text formatting tools italic, bold, strikethrough, and monospace. To recall, you have to type a star before and afterword *……* and it will automatically change into bold text. BOLD text will change simple text into emphasizing some special text. For Italic type underscore before and afterword _….._ and it will automatically change into Italic text. For strikethrough type the curve or tilde before and afterword ~…..~ and it will automatically change into strikethrough text.
