WhatsApp working on a new Secret code Creation feature

The Meta-Owned is developing a new page that lets users create a secret code for their protected chat folder. Users can easily find locked chat by entering a secret code even in the search bar. After configuring a secret code, it will allow users to lock chats and access this even from companion devices.

When the users start creating the secret code in the creation form, the meta-owned messaging app suggests they use a word or a simple emoji for quick access but make it memorable. WhatsApp doesn’t support locked chats on companion devices because the companion devices may not support an authentication feature to lock the protected chat folder.

With the new secret code feature, the meta-owned messaging app offers users the ability to synchronize chat locks across all the linked devices.

The new secret code creation feature for locked chats with support for linked devices is currently under development. But WhatsApp will soon roll out the Secret code creation feature for locked chats with support for linked devices for Android beta testers.

WhatsApp has recently released the Chat Lock feature for everyone on Android and iOS. The Chat Lock feature lets users lock their specific chats to enhance their privacy and hide their personal chats. It provides a convenient way for users to protect their sensitive conversations by locking them.
