The new ability to create the username for channels has been discovered on the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.24.17. The meta-owned messaging app working on bringing the new feature to associate a username with channels.
Users can open specific channels by using their usernames when this feature will be available. It is expected to include additional functionalities for channels such as personalized channel links (@hogatoga) based on their current username that make it more convenient for channel Creators and followers to share and discover their favorite channels.
The new ability to create a username for channels is currently under development. However, the meta-owned messaging app WhatsApp will soon release a new username feature for Channels.
