How to edit messages in chat on Snapchat
- You have to open the Snapchat on your phone.
- After this, tap on the contact to go to the conversation screen which chats you want to edit.
- Long press the chat you want to fix.
- Tap on the Edit Chat option in the pop-up menu.
- After this, you can go ahead and correct the typo or mistake.
One of the important things is to note that you can only use the edit chat feature if your friend has not replied to your chat. You have only 5 minutes before the edit chat option disappears for your chat.

The edited chat messages don’t display an “Edited” tag like it does on WhatsApp and Instagram. When the Edited tag label doesn’t appear that means the person on the other end won’t know that the other user has changed the original text.
Snapchat has also announced another feature like setting reminders using My AI chatbot, Emoji reactions, Snap map reactions, and custom clothes for Bitmoji using AI prompts.
Some of these features like My AI reminders and emoji reactions are already ready for users. The feature like Edit message will be soon available for Snapchat+ users only.
