Unfortunately, the new Chat transfer to Android option is currently under development. Now WhatsApp is working on the process to transfer your chat history without having to back up chat history on Google Drive. Users will soon be able to transfer their chat history by just scanning the QR codes.

They will be required to open their WhatsApp on their phone and go to the chat transfer section. After this, they have to use their old phone’s camera to scan the QR code which will be available on their new device.
