WhatsApp rolling out new Manage contacts within the app

WhatsApp is releasing a new feature that allows users to add and edit contacts within the app. Users can now easily add new contacts to their contacts list or Google account within the app. They don’t need to leave WhatsApp to add and edit the contacts to their contacts list or Google account.

Users will be able to add contacts directly without leaving the app which means users will no longer need to switch between apps. To use the new Manage Contacts feature you have to open your contacts list within the app and select the option “New Contact”. If you see the new section that means you can already add contacts without leaving WhatsApp.

Users can also add unknown numbers to their contacts list when someone reaches the users on WhatsApp without switching to the contacts app.

The new add and edit contacts within the app feature are currently rolling out for some beta testers. The new manage contacts feature is available on the Android beta version 2.23.8.2, 2.23.8.4, 2.23.85, and 2.23.8.6.
