WhatsApp Group Chat Events feature
The new feature has been discovered on the WhatsApp for iOS beta version 24.13.72. The new feature allows users to create events even in the regular group chat by expanding beyond community groups. They can easily create activities for their group chats including details such as the name, description, date, optional location, and whether a voice or video call is needed.

Once the event is created, all the group members within the group chat can view and accept invitations while the creator can update event details as necessary at any time. The new Events feature for group chat is end-to-end encrypted ensuring only participants in the conversation have access to event details and communications.
You have to tap on the attachment icon in the group chat then tap on the Event option. After, create your event and enter the details such as the name, description, date, optional locations, and whether a voice or video call.

The new group chat event feature is currently rolling out for iOS users. It is available on the WhatsApp for iOS beta version 24.13.72.
Meanwhile, the meta-owned messaging app is rolling out the new instant video message reply feature. The new shortcut next to the video message enhances the reply process by allowing users to respond to specific video messages quickly. With previous updates, users needed to open the message menu or use the usual gesture to reply manually before they could start recording a new video.
