A little about Riot Forge

Riot Forge was introduced as a publishing label by Riot in the year 2019. The franchise worked with smaller studios to develop games for the League of Legends Universe. The label also made a mark in the market with some critically acclaimed titles like Songs of Nunu and The Mageseeker.

However, it will be interesting to see how Riot Games is going to compensate for the absence of a small label.

What will the employees get after a layoff by Riot?

All the employees who have been impacted by the layoffs will get six months of severance and access to their Riot email accounts for an unspecified period. Though Riot is trying its best to make up for the layoffs, the news is pretty disappointing and concerning at the same time.

According to the latest trends, the video game industry has seen more than ample amount of layoffs in the last year, and 2024 has just started. We can only hope that there are no more updates like this and that the video game industry gets stable as soon as possible.
