Meta introduces Paid Blue Verification for Facebook and Instagram

The CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of Meta Verified, a paid service to authenticate the Users’ Instagram with Prestigious Blue Tick and other features, just like the Elon Mask Twitter Blue paid service on Twitter. The Paid Meta Verified service starts at $11.99 per month to authenticate one account.

The Meta paid service model is released to protect the people, apart from the blue tick, aims to protect people from fake accounts, especially for those users who have a good online presence and Content creators.

Meta said it wants to change, “the meaning of the verified badge so we can expand access to verification and more people can trust the accounts they interact with are authentic.”

Mark Zuckerberg said, “This new feature is about increasing authenticity and security across our services.” As per the company report, the new Meta Paid service subscriber will get the blue tick badge that indicates their account has been verified with the Government ID, extra protection against impersonation, direct access to customer support, more visibility, and more.

Meta Paid Blue Verification

Meta subscribers can get help from an actual person with Direct access to customer support (currently customer support isn’t that good, we tried). The subscribers will also get exclusive stickers for Facebook and Instagram Stories as well as Reels, along with 100 free stars a month.

There are some criteria for Meta Subscribe, users are required to be 18 and above and need to submit a government ID. The name and photo on the government ID should be the same as on Facebook and Instagram.

Note that Meta Verified will be available to verify profiles only, not Pages.

The Meta Verified for Instagram and Facebook is currently rolled out in Australia and New Zealand at $11.99 (Rs 990) a month on the purchase from the Web and $14.99 (Rs 1,200) per month on the purchase from Android and iOS. However, Twitter Blue costs $8 (650) a month for purchase from the Web and $11 (900) a month for purchase from Android and iOS.
