WhatsApp Testing New Sharing Your Status on Instagram

The meta-owned messaging app is working on a new feature that offers a more seamless cross-posting experience across its all Social Media Platforms. It has already a feature that allows users to share their status updates on Facebook Stories. Now it is developing a new feature to share status updates on Instagram which works the same as the ability to share status updates on Facebook Stories.

Users can share their status as an Instagram story directly from WhatsApp. They don’t need to switch away from the messaging app to share the same content to Instagram Story. This new feature will be visible once the user has shared a new status update.

Once the users share a Status update, they will see an Instagram icon next to the Facebook icon. It also offers more control to the users to enable or disable this feature from Settings if they want to.

Before sharing their status on Instagram, users have to connect their Instagram account to WhatsApp and have this social media platform installed on the same device as WhatsApp. You have to go to the Status Privacy settings to find the option to add your Instagram account.

The new ability to share Status updates on Instagram is currently under development. However, the meta-owned messaging app will soon release this new Share Status to Instagram for Android beta testers.
