WhatsApp updates the status to inform the users about the new Payments features. It updates the status to inform the users that the payment feature is available and they can easily use it. It sets the three stories in the status as you can see in the given image below.

The first story introduces Payments on WhatsApp and sending 500 hundred to a user. It shows how the chat looks when you send the payments to your chat.

It shows how you can pay at local stores by scanning any UPI QR Code. Users have to tap on the camera icon on the top of the left corner and scan the QR Code then tap on the Send Payments option to send money in the second story.

In the third story, WhatsApp shows how to send the money to the chat all with the Security of WhatsApp. This is not the first time that WhatsApp updated the status to inform about any feature (this time the Payments feature). Before this, it had also updated its status to inform about the Privacy Policy changes.
