The new feature has been discovered on the Android beta version 2.24.7.6. With the help of the new feature, you can share videos of up to 1 minute in length via status updates. It is currently available to a limited number of beta testers, enabling them to experiment with the feature by attempting to upload videos exceeding the default 30-second duration to their status updates.

Users have now the freedom to share more extensive video content without the need for cumbersome edits or compromises on the message they want to convey.

The feature to share videos of up to 1 minute in length via status updates is currently rolling out for some users on the beta version. It is available on the Android beta version 2.24.7.6. However, some users may get up to 1-minute status updates in the previous update.

Meanwhile, the meta-owned messaging app is working on the Status mention feature. You will be able to mention the other users in status updates. This means you can mention specific contacts in the status updates to whom you want to dedicate the status.
