According to the WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a new feature to add the new option to upload videos. Users can now select the quality of the videos to upload. Users will get the three options Auto (recommended), Best quality, and Data Saver to select the quality of videos to upload the videos.

  • Auto (recommended): WhatsApp will automatically detect the best compressing algorithm for your specific videos.
  • Best quality: If you select the best quality option then it will send the videos of the best quality available to your chat.
  • Data saver: If you have enabled the Data saver on your Android settings then WhatsApp will compress the quality of the videos before sending. This feature is currently under development and it will roll out soon.

Recently it has also rolled out the View Once feature that lets users set views once on Photos and videos. The Photos and Videos will be deleted or disappear automatically from chat.
