YouTube $100M fund for Shorts Video Creators
YouTube announced the Shorts Fund on Tuesday. The Fund will be distributed among Shorts video creators whose videos get the most engagement and views. The fund will be distributed over 2021-2022. YouTube said that they will reach out to the thousands of creators every month whose Shorts received the most engagement and views. They will reward those creators with this fund for their contribution.

The Shorts fund will reward all the top short creators. Any user who is creating unique Shorts is eligible to participate in the fund. The fund is not only for those creators who are in the YouTube Partner Program. But also for those who are not a part of the YouTube Partner Program.
The creators who create their original content for Shorts and adhere to the YouTube Community Guidelines are eligible to participate in the fund. YouTube also said that it will begin testing advertisements on Shorts. Snapchat also awards $1M to those creators who create the top content on Spotlight. Snapchat awards $1M per day to the top post creators on Spotlight.
