The October rollout includes Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, and S24 FE. Many other Galaxy S series models like S23, S22, and S21 FE will also be updated. The Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and several Galaxy A, F, and M devices are scheduled in the same month.
Samsung also confirmed that the November rollout will bring updates to Galaxy A25, Galaxy A53, Galaxy F05, Galaxy M05, Galaxy M53, and Galaxy Tab A9 series. This ensures most Galaxy users in India will get Android 16 before the year ends.
Android 16 Based on One UI 8 Features
The One UI 8 update is based on Android 16. It is powered by Google Gemini AI for smarter performance. The software learns from user behavior and suggests shortcuts, reminders, and useful actions.
Highlighted new features include:
- Generative Edits for advanced photo modifications.
- Chat Assist for easier and smarter conversations.
- Context-aware AI for automatic task management.
- Now Bar and Now Brief with wider live notifications.
Samsung also redesigned multitasking options. The new split-screen view allows dragging one app to the edge.
This creates more space for the main app compared to the traditional 50:50 split view. The feature is designed to give users greater flexibility.
