Block Text Messages on Google Messages
The Google Messages app is used as a default app for messaging on Most Android phones. If your phone has the Google Messages app, follow these steps to block text messages.
- You have to open Google Messages and tap on the messages you want to block.
- Tap on the contact name at the top once your messages load up.
- Now, tap on the Block and report spam option.
- In the confirmation prompt, check the report spam box to mark this message as spam, and then tap on the Yes option.

All messages from that contact or phone number will now be blocked. That number’s existing texts and future messages will be visible inside the spam and blocked section.
Block Text Messages on Samsung Messages
- You have to open the Samsung Messages app and Long-press on a chat from the number you want to block messages.
- When you long press on a chat, the chat will be highlighted and you can select more chats to block them simultaneously.
- Now tap on the More option at the bottom of the right corner.
- Tap on the Block option from the overflow menu.
- Tap on the Block to confirm.
