Battlegrounds Mobile India ban
Dr. Gaurav Tyagi, who is an assistant professor at JNU has filed the RTI recently. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) respond to that RTI.
The IT Ministry said in response to this that, “the Government can’t stop the game before launching in India. However, the IT Ministry has the authority to ban the game once it is launched under the provision of section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

The IT ministry said in the response to the RTI that the ” Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology doesn’t have a role in granting any permission for entry of PUBG or any company/Mobile app in India”.

The Ministry of Home Affairs said in a statement that,” MHA does not grant permission for launching any app. The Meity issues blocking directions for any mobile applications under the provisions of section 69A of the Information Technology Act,2000 and its rules namely the Information Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking for Acces of Information for Public) Rules, 2009, in the interest of sovereignty and integrity of India, security of state and defense of India, etc. Regarding vii, CPIO is not supposed to provide an opinion under the RTI Act”.

Krafton didn’t announce the game release date. It believes that Krafton will launch Battlegrounds Mobile India on 18th June. The game developer company will introduce the green color, instead of red symbolizes blood.
