WhatsApp is releasing the ability to add the caption to forward media. Users can now add the caption to their forwarded images, videos, GIFs, and documents. When you forward the image, video, GIFs, and document with a caption then you will see a new caption view.

Now you can add the caption to your forward image, video, GIFs, and document in the caption view. If the caption will be attached to the new message when it will be forwarded to chats you choose in the caption view section. Also, you have control over forwarding the media if you want to add the caption or want to remove the caption from that forwarded media.

You can keep the caption to your forwarded image, video, GIFs, and documents or remove the caption from forwarding media. To remove the caption from your media you have to tap on the dismiss button.

The new forward media with a caption feature is currently rolling out for some Desktop beta users. The new forward media with a caption feature is available on Desktop beta version 2.2245.5. WhatsApp has also released new forward media (images, videos, GIFs, Documents) with a caption feature for iOS beta users and is available on beta version 22.23.0.72 for iOS.
