This feature has been discovered on the iOS beta version 23.24.10.78. This feature allows users to quickly lock chats directly from the chat list. The meta-owned messaging app is also releasing a dedicated toggle within the chat info screen that improves process of locking conversations.
This new toggle also provides users with more intuitive method to lock their conversations. These two new shortcuts brings a significant advantage to the process of locking a conversation. This new process also reduces the steps needed to lock or unlock a chat that enhance the user experience.
These two new shortcuts to quickly lock chats are currently rolling out for the iOS beta testers. The new Chat Lock Shortcut feature is available on the iOS beta version 23.24.10.78. However, the meta-owned messaging app will soon release the chat lock shortcut feature for everyone in iOS.
