The meta-owned messaging app allows users to turn on or turn off various effects like Facial filters, skin smoothing, low-light mode, and dynamic background effects on the camera interface or go to the privacy settings to do this. The new apply AR effect feature has been discovered on WhatsApp for iOS beta version 24.25.93.

Users to enable augmented reality (AR) effects, backgrounds, and filters from the camera with the dedicated button. To use this, they must open the camera, tap the “Wand” icon, and access the new effects.

Once they select the wand icon, they can use the various AR features like animated effects like confetti or stars that display on the screen. Users also have the option to add a new background for an obscure real environment or create a custom visual setting for their video call.

The new camera effects and filters feature has the Touch-Up Mode option which enhances facial features for a polished appearance during video calls. They can use the touch-up mode feature to smooth their skin tones and reduce minor imperfections to enhance the video calling experience.
