What are the classes in Marvel Contest of Champions?
All those who are well versed with the MCU already know that every superhero and supervillain has an origin story. For example, our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man (Earth 616) got bit by a spider. On the other hand, Doctor Strange got his powers after visiting Kamar Taj. So the class of the champion lies in the origin story as here it is clear the Spider-Man is from the Tech class and Doctor Strange is from the Mystic Class.
All classes in Marvel COC
There are a total number of six classes in the Marvel Contest of Champions game. Here we have mentioned all of them along with the class bonus and representation:
Cosmic Class
All the superheroes or Supervillains who got their powers from elements that don’t belong to Earth fall under the Cosmic Class. This class has an advantage over the Tech Class champions in Marvel COC. However, the champions from Cosmic Class are weaker than Mystic Class Champions. It is represented in the game with a Blue Planet Symbol. Some of the best Cosmic Class Champions in Marvel COC are Hercules, Adam Warlock, Cosmic Ghost Rider, Serpent, Captain Marvel, and a lot more to mention here.
Mystic Class
The champions who got their powers from magic fall under the Mystic Class. They dominate the Cosmic Champions in the game but are weaker against the Skill Class champions. The class is represented in the game with a purple eye symbol. Characters like Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Doctor Doom, Sorcerer Supreme, Symbiote Supreme, Dragon Man, Dormammu, Ghost Rider, Doctor Voodoo, belong to the Mystic Class.
Tech Class
These champions in the Marvel Contest of Champions are the ones who have no super powers just tech that makes them unbeatable. They have an advantage over the Mutant Class but are at a disadvantage against the Cosmic Class champions.
The Tech Class champions are represented in Marvel COC with a Blue Circuit Symbol. Some of the most powerful Tech Class Champions in MCOC are Iron Man, Ironheart, Doctor Octopus, Rocket Raccoon, Red Skull, Iron Patriot, Vision, Huklbuster, The Guardian, and more.
Skill Class
Skills Class champions are the ones who possess no superpower but are impeccable in combat and have immense strength. Champions from this class have the upper hand against Science Class champions but are weaker against the Mutant Champions.
The Skill Class is represented in MCOC with a Red Fist. Characters like Killmonger, Blackpanther, Black Widow, Daredevil, Black Panther Civil War variant, Moon Knight, Blade, Task Master, Agent Venom, etc., belong to the Skill Class.
Mutant Class
All those who have followed the Marvel Cinematic Universe already know who mutants are. Basically, the champions who got their super powers from mutated genes fall in the Mutant Class. Primary, you will see characters from X-Men comics and movies in this class.
They are stronger than the Skill Class Champions and Weaker than the Tech Champions. The mutant class is depicted in the Marvel Contest of Champions with a Yellow DNA symbol. Some of the best champions from the Mutant Class are Gambit, Wolverine X-23, Mister Sinister, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Deadpool, Old Man Logan, Captain Britain, etc.
Science Class
Science Class champions are mostly the ones who are a result of a failed scientific experiment or a successful one (depending completely on the intention here). The champions from this class are more powerful than the ones from Mystic Class but weaker than the ones from Skill Class.
To show this class, Marvel COC used a green test tube kind of symbol. The Science Class gets some of the most dangerous MCOC characters like Captain America, Spider-Punk, Quicksilver, Human Torch, Anti-Venom, Hulk Ragnarök Variant, Spider-Man Miles Morales, Ant-Man, Rhino, Luke Cage, etc.
