According to the online intelligence firm Cybele report, Truecaller data of 4.75 crore Indian users have been put on sale on the dark web. While Truecaller denied the report of Cyble and saying there is no breach on its database.
In a blog post, Cyble said that information on the dark web has been categorized based on Cities, States, and Carriers. Also, Truecaller data is from 2019 on the dark web. User information available including phone number, name, gender, carrier, Facebook ID, email ID, and many more. On its blog post, Cyble also published the leaked detail. This information will lead to finding scams, spam, and identity theft.
Truecaller denies the report and said that there is no data breach as claimed by Cyble. A Truecaller spokesperson said in a statement that thank you for bringing this to our attention.
