All these apps are malicious SMS scam apps and were part of the UltimaSMS campaign, in which the malicious actors sorghum the users to enroll in for the affordable Premium SMS service. These apps promise that they earned the money for the services and users sign in for the money.
According to the Avast Antivirus that, these malicious apps were downloaded more than 10.5 million times and “are identical in structure and functionality.” You will see the removed app link below.
According to Avast that when a user downloads these malicious apps, the app checks their location, IMEI number, and phone number to determine which language and country area code to use for the scam. After this, it asks users to enter their phone numbers and, in some cases, email addresses to gain access to the app’s advertised purpose.
These malicious apps are most downloaded in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, the United States, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, Poland, and Kuwait.
