Gemini has received a new update with Google Assistant’s iconic colors. This update brings big visual changes to the Gemini app. The familiar blue and purple theme is now gone.

Gemini Now Sports Google Assistant’s Signature Colors

Gemini has started using Google’s famous four colors. These are red, yellow, green, and blue. These colors were used in the Google Assistant logo before. Now, Gemini also shows the same color theme.

This means Gemini is taking Assistant’s place soon. Google Gemini was only showcasing blue and purple colors before. That theme is now getting replaced slowly.

The latest update brings this new change. The version is Gemini 1.0.776555963 and is easily accessible through the Play Store. If the update is not there, sideload it. APKMirror has the correct APK file to download. After installing it, the logo changes will appear.

Gemini’s New Logo Design and Glow Effects

The Gemini logo shape still looks the same. But its corners are now rounder and softer. The color inside the logo still shows some blue.

Around it, you will see a multi-color glow. These changes appear when Gemini gives a reply. It shows during the “Just a sec…” loading screen.

The “Switch to Gemini” screen has the new logo, too. You will notice the fresh colors on that screen. These changes clearly show Gemini is now more official. It also hints that Google Assistant is going away soon. Gemini will become the main AI for users.

Other Design Changes Are Coming Soon

Some changes are still not in the stable update. Leaks had shown the splash screen would change, too. It was expected to lose the purple and blue theme. It might get a full new blue background look. But this part is missing in the current release.

The home greeting screen also shows no update yet. It still uses the old color theme for now. Google may release these changes later this year. Maybe the update will arrive when the Assistant retires. That time is coming closer with every Gemini update.
