WhatsApp is testing a new feature that lets users share long media files. Users will be able to share the Media file up to 2GB in size. It is testing this feature to some people and they are now able to share media files up to 2GB in size. WhatsApp is rolling out the new larger media file share feature in Argentina. Users who live in Argentine are able to send the larger media file but it is rolling out for beta users.
The new Media file size feature is rolling out for the Android beta versions 2.22.8.5, 2.22.8.6, and 2.22.8.7 and iOS beta version 22.7.0.76 in Argentina. As you can see in the given image some users in Argentina are able to send documents up to 2GB in size. Before rolling out this feature, users can only share media files up to 100 MB only. They can’t share the media file larger than 100 MB.
But when the new Media file size feature will be available then users can share up to 2GB file size. The new media file size feature is currently under development but it will soon roll out this feature.
