Your new chat will be started with the disappearing messages once you enable the default message timer. You have to go to the privacy settings option to enable the new Default Message Timer feature. Your old or existing chat won’t be started with the new Default message timer feature. The new chat thread will start with the Disappearing messages.
The new Default Message Timer feature is rolling out for iOS users. This feature is available on WhatsApp for iOS version 2.21.240. This feature is also rolling out for the WhatsApp Business. You can update your WhatsApp to get the new Default Message Timer feature.
It is also rolling out the new multiple durations feature for disappearing messages. WhatsApp is adding the two new timers 24 hours and 90 days or 3 months for the Disappearing messages. Users can now choose the two new time duration 24 hours and 90 days. They can choose the 7day existing time duration.
