So, it will automatically mute the larger group chat and reduce notifications.
As you can see in the given image, an alert will show that announces that the group has automatically been muted in order to reduce notifications. You can tap on the OK button to keep your larger group chat muted in order to reduce notifications. You may receive notifications more than you expect in your larger group.
WhatsApp will automatically mute those group which has reached a lot of participants and currently you can add up to 1024 participants in a group. It also gives full control to you over your groups and notifications. You can manage your participants and notifications easily.
You will have also control to unmute your large group chat at any time by just tapping on the unmute button. The automatically mute large group chats in order to reduce notification feature is currently rolling out for some beta testers. But WhatsApp will soon release the auto-mute large group chat feature for everyone.
