The channel alerts notify the channel creator when their channel is closed in a specific country this means the users with the phone number associated with that country will not be able to access or follow the channel.
Your channel won’t be completely closed, it will be open and accessible in other countries where it is not affected by legal restrictions.
The new channel alerts feature to notify creators about the status of their channels is currently rolling out for some beta testers. The channel alerts feature is available in the Android beta version 2.23.20.9. But WhatsApp will soon roll out the channel alerts feature for everyone in a future update.
