This year, Motorola launched a slew of smartphones in the Indian market. The company was also the first to release a smartphone featuring Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor. Motorola has been expanding its mid-range series with products like the Moto G52 at the same time.

With a price tag of Rs. 13,499, the new Moto G52 joins a long list of 4G-only handsets in India. The OLED display and 30W TurboPower rapid charging capabilities are among the premium features. I’ve been using the Moto G52 for a while now, and I’ve been enjoying everything it has to offer. In this review, I go through the benefits and drawbacks of the same.

Specifications for the Motorola Moto G52 Smartphone

The Moto G52 smartphone features a 6.6-inch pOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It has a punch-hole pattern at the top, that has the front camera. This smartphone from Motorola comes with the latest Android 12 operating system, which is a welcome addition to this price range. However, to keep the features appealing, Motorola has chosen to use a 4G chipset. It is powered by the Snapdragon 680 SoC and has up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

The Moto G52 features a triple back camera module with a 50-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel sensor for imaging. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is located on the front of the phone.

The Moto G52 has a 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charging capabilities. Motorola has also given it an IP52 classification, which means it can withstand splashes. It also has Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers and a fingerprint sensor on the side.

Moto G52 Design: A Familiar Body With An OLED Display

The Moto G52’s lightweight design is one of the first things that draws attention to it. Motorola has assured that the phone has a scratch-resistant body even though it is made of plastic. The plastic construction is adequate for a mid-range phone. Despite its slim and lightweight design, the Moto G52 appears to be identical to previous Moto phones.

The Moto G52 has a triple-camera arrangement on the back, with a very small camera bump. The Moto logo is prominently displayed on the back panel. There’s also a 3.5mm audio port on the bottom, which is a feature that many manufacturers are now omitting. For further security, the power button has a fingerprint sensor built-in.

The Moto G52’s 6.6-inch OLED display with an FHD+ resolution sets it apart from the competition. The smartphone also has a refresh rate of 90Hz, which is sufficient for casual gaming and browsing. I tested the Moto G52’s display in both outdoor and indoor settings and found it to be excellent.

However, the Moto G52’s OLED display appears to be the only meaningful change. Motorola has been continuously releasing new phones under the G name, such as the Moto G71 5G and the Moto G31. Only the processor beneath the hood appears to be the key difference between these phones.

Price of Motorola Moto G52 Smartphone in India

The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option of the Motorola Moto G52 smartphone costs Rs 14,499 in India. If you want the 6GB + 128GB model, you’ll have to pay Rs 16,499 more. The Motorola Moto G52 smartphone will go on sale in India on May 3rd.

However, in India, the sub-Rs. The 15K segment is crowded, with phones from all of the country’s major brands. With only a few changes over other phones in the same series, the Moto G52 is in a tight spot. The Moto G52 isn’t a great option because it doesn’t support 5G and has limited Android updates.
