Motorola’s next smartphone, the Motorola Edge 30, is scheduled to be released in India soon. However, the business has not yet revealed the specific debut date. Motorola could be on track to beat every other Android OEM to the punch once more after unveiling the Edge X30 as the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered phone. The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is the most likely candidate to be the first phone to feature the forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus processor.

In Europe, the smartphone was released last month. The Motorola Edge 30 is the latest smartphone in the company’s ‘Edge’ series. It’s thought to be the successor to Motorola’s Edge 20, which was released in India last year.

The Motorola Edge 30 smartphone’s projected pricing and specifications are listed below.

In India, the Motorola Edge 30 price is expected to be Rs. 30,000. Motorola is yet to reveal the price of the Motorola Edge 30 in India. In Europe, however, the 8GB + 128GB storage edition of the identical smartphone is available for EUR 449.99 (about Rs 36,300).

The Motorola Edge 30 is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ CPU, as well as up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It comes with a 6.5-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Specifications

A 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor are housed in the Motorola Edge 30’s triple-rear camera configuration. This smartphone has a 32MP selfie camera on the front. The phone is powered by a 4020mAh battery that can be charged at 33W TurboPower.

The smartphone comes in three color options in Europe: Meteor Grey, Aurora Green, and Supermoon Silver.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus is scheduled to be launched later this month, with consumer availability expected in June. According to reports, the flagship chipset could make its debut on a smartphone from an unlikely manufacturer—Motorola.

Motorola could be the first OEM to release a handset powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, according to reports from China. Thankfully, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is an obvious candidate for the job. The “Frontier 22” moniker for the forthcoming flagship was revealed months ago. It’s almost certain to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1(+) Plus.

The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is the first smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus makes sense, considering the firm beat every competitor to market with the Motorola Edge X30 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in December. Following Motorola, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Sony are likely to release Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus-powered smartphones. Keep an eye on this space for more information about the Motorola Edge 30 and other devices.
