How to enable two-factor Authentications on Threads
To set up the two-factor authentications have to open the Threads app and go to your profile by tapping on the profile icon at the bottom of the app. After this, tap on the menu icon at the top of the right corner and then go to the Account option.
After this, tap on the Security option in the Account section and this will take you to the Meta Account Center. Tap on the Two-Factor authentication option and then choose your Instagram account.
Threads app uses the users’ Instagram account as the identifier to create the account so they have to enable the two-factor authentication for their Instagram account first. After this, it will enable the two-factor authentication for Threads too.
Now you have to choose the security methods among the Authentication apps, Text Messages (SMS), and WhatsApp. If you choose the Text Message (SMS) then it will send the OTP (one-time PIN) to your phone number. Now you have to enter the OTP that you receive on your phone number.
You are done once you enter the OTP. Now the Two-Factor authentication is enabled on your Threads account and Instagram account.
