Slide the SIM into the mobile with care.
Use the first SIM slot if the phone has two.
Hit a click on switching the mobile on the moment you insert the SIM.
Now hold on till the BSNL network appears on the screen.
Open the dialer and call 1507 for verification.
This number is used for SIM card verification.
Do what the voice prompts you to confirm your details.
You probably need to share a name and address.
Choose your preferred language for the verification process.

Make sure to repeat this once every 90 days.

2. Recharge Before Plan Expiry

3. Understand Grace Periods

After the plan expiry, BSNL gives two grace periods:

Grace Period 1 (GP1):

- From day 8 to day 165 after expiry.
- Outgoing calls and the internet are blocked.
- Balance may be removed permanently by BSNL.

Recharge during GP1 or GP2 to keep your number safe.

Visit the nearest BSNL customer service office.
Carry one ID and address proof for verification.
Fill out a request form for reactivation.
Pay any extra charges if BSNL asks for it.
