How to add Disappearing Notes to Instagram Reels & Posts
- Open the Instagram and go to the post or reels where you want to leave a note.
- After this, tap on the share icon from the bottom and tap on the Add note option.
- Type your message to add the note.
- Once you add your message tap on the Share with dropdown menu under your Note to select with whom you want to share this message. Users can choose between Followers who follow them back or Close Friends.
- Once you select with whom you want to share then tap on the Share button.

Things to Know Before Posting a Temporary Note on Instagram Posts or Reels
- Your Note on Instagram reels or posts will disappear automatically after three days.
- The creators won’t be able to see the notes they post themselves.
- The creator can choose to disable the Temporary Notes option, so, no one can create a note over their content.
- Only people who follow you can read the notes that you have posted on the reels or posts.
- Other users can only see the Note when they come across it while browsing Instagram.
- Other users won’t get notified when you post a note on their post unless you have tagged them on that post.
