Apple iPhone Ultra, the first foldable phone, is expected to launch with the upcoming Apple iPhone 18 Series in September 2026. As per the new report, Apple may not launch its first foldable phone for the global market.
A major Chinese component supplier claims that supply, pricing, and production testing issues could delay the iPhone Ultra’s availability to the global market.
Apple iPhone Ultra May Not Launch in India
As per the reports, Australian retailers have been told that the iPhone Ultra will not be available with the iPhone 18 Series in Australia. Apple is said to initially prioritize the US market, followed by major markets like China.
Apple may announce the iPhone Ultra globally but launch in the US and take a phased approach to actually selling to other markets.
Previously, Apple could begin mass production of the iPhone Ultra in July but later pushed it to August 2026.
Apple is planning to produce only around seven million iPhone Ultra units in the second half of 2026. It will make the flagship iPhone Ultra limited and makes difficult to roll out globally.
Apple may not reveal the price of the iPhone Ultra at the launch event in September. But it is expected that the iPhone Ultra price will be up to $2500 (approximately Rs 2,38,500).
iPhone Ultra Design
The phone may measure around 117mm in height. The width could reach around 84.27mm when closed. Thickness may stay slightly above 11mm without a bump. Camera bumps can increase the thickness by 16.57mm. When opened, the thickness may drop to 5.2mm.
The outer display may measure around 5.5 inches. The inner display could reach about 7.8 inches in size. This inner screen may feel like a small tablet. Users may enjoy multitasking features like those on an iPad.
Apple’s entry could still change the market quickly. Users should wait for official updates and announcements. This foldable iPhone may shape Apple’s next decade.
