WhatsApp Working on the Generate AI Images feature

The meta-owned messaging app is working on the implementation of a new feature that aims to generate AI-powered images of users. The new feature will allow users to take a single set of photos, which Meta AI will then use to generate AI images. They must take setup photos that will be analyzed to create these images to ensure that the generated images accurately represent their appearance.

One important thing is to note that users will retain full control over the upcoming feature, as they can delete their setup photos at any time through the Meta AI settings and create new ones.

Users can ask Meta AI to generate an AI image of themselves by typing “Imagine me” in the Meta AI conversation once they set up images. Additionally, they can use the new AI-generated images feature in other chats by typing “@Meta AI imagine me”.

The Meta AI cannot read other messages of your other chat conversation, as the command is processed separately, and the resulting image message will automatically be shared in the conversation by the app to ensure that user privacy is always preserved.

This is an optional feature which means users who want to use this feature must manually enable it in their settings and take their setup picture first.

The AI-generated images feature is currently under development. However, the meta-owned messaging app will soon release the AI-generated images feature for Android beta testers.
