WhatsApp users get the DigiLocker services access

Citizens can access the DigiLocker service on WhatsApp via the MyGov Helpdesk.  Users can easily access their PAN Card, Driving License, Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC), Insurance Policy – Two-wheeler, Class X Marksheet, Class XII Marksheet, etc. Users can access the DigiLocker services using the MyGov Helpdesk chatbot.

How to access the DigiLocker Services

To access the DigiLocker services on WhatsApp users have to save the Chatbot number of MyGov Helpdesk number +91 9013151515. Send the message ‘Namaste’ or ‘Hi’ or ‘DigiLocker’ on WhatsApp once they save the number on your phone.


Two options will appear Cowin Services and DigiLocker Services once you send the message. Users have to choose the DigiLocker Services from the options to get the DigiLocker access.

Reply ‘Yes’ after choosing the DigiLocker option if you have a DigiLocker account. If you don’t have the account then reply ‘No’. When you reply ‘No’ a menu will appear for activating the account. If you have an account reply ‘Yes’ and type the 12-digit Aadhaar number without giving space and send.

You will get the OTP on your Aadhaar registered mobile number via SMS. You have to share that on WhatsApp. All the documents available on your DigiLocker will appear on your screen. Type the number against the documents that you want to download. The document will be downloaded on your device in PDF format.
