WhatsApp Pay may launch in India by end of may: what we know till now

WhatsApp is the most popular instant messaging app. It always added a new-new feature in it. Now WhatsApp is ready to launch the Payment platform in it by end of the May. According to the Moneycontrol report, WhatsApp is likely to launch its payment feature. This feature is based on digital payment platform UPI(Universal Payment Interface)which is the support of India’s Government. WhatsApp pay is in the partnership with three private bank HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, and ICICI Bank. That will come in especially handy during the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic while the use of cash is discouraged. To bring this service in India, the Facebook-owned messaging platform is working with the SBI State Bank of India. SBI is the largest creditor in the country. So SBI is aware of the security architecture. After the sometime WhatsApp will slowly add other banks to ensure that a sudden increase in the transaction won’t affect their server. WhatsApp Pay feature helps you to the transaction of money with this features.

CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg had told in the media, in January UPI based payment features will be roll out in the many countries in the next six months. WhatsApp Pay has been limited testing in beta in 2018. It is proper to note that the launching the WhatsApp Pay in India has been delayed due to several data compliance rules and issues.
