He said that adding that small businesses will also be able to make sales right within WhatsApp. He also said that we are building on Facebook Pay, which provides a secure and consistent way to make payments across our apps.
Mark Zuckerberg said that WhatsApp is working with local banks in Brazil like Nubank, Banco do Brasil, Sicredi and Cielo the leading payment processor in Brazil for WhatsApp Pay for online payment in Brazil.
WhatsApp said in a blog post that it has built the payment with security and a special six-digit PIN or fingerprint will be required to authorized transactions. This security feature helps you to be secure from unauthorized and unknown person transactions.
You must have debit or credit cards to start this. The credit or debit cards must be from the Banco do Brasil, Sicredi, and Nubank on the Visa and Mastercard networks.
