WhatsApp has started rolling out the new encryption backups feature for chat history. Now you can secure your chat history backups with the end-to-end encrypted feature. Your chat will be secure with end-to-end encryption backups and unauthorized users won’t be able to access your content and chat. Also, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Apple can’t read your chat history.
You have to select the 64-bit encryption key or set the password to secure your chat backups. When you want to decrypt your chat backups then you have to enter the password to restore your chat backups. One of the very important things is that, if you lose your password then WhatsApp won’t help you to restore your chat.
You have to enable this feature manually to secure your chat history backups. To enable the end-to-end encryption feature you have to open your WhatsApp and go to the settings. Tap on the Chat option in the setting section. After this, tap on the Chat Backup option then enable the end-to-end encrypted Backup. This feature is rolling out for specific Android and iOS users.
