WhatsApp Album Picker Feature
The new feature has been discovered on WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.24.16.5. Users can now use a new album picker to switch from one album to another quickly. In previous updates, the meta-owned messaging app already had a feature to open specific albums through a dedicated gallery tab.
However, the meta-owned messaging app is now redesigning the full gallery sheet by removing tabs and introducing a selector within the album title view.

This new feature to select photos and videos to share significantly modernizes the WhatsApp interface as we compared it to the old gallery tab on this app. The most recent albums through the new media picker avoid the clutter of the entire screen that the full gallery tab created.
The new minimalist window that appears when the user taps on the album title simplifies navigation while enhancing the overall aesthetic appearance of the gallery sheet and showing the number of items available in each album.
