Samsung has a tradition of offering a 3x telephoto camera on its Samsung Galaxy Ultra flagship phones for generations, but it may change this year with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra.

As per the report, Samsung may remove the smaller 10MP 3x Telephoto Camera and ending it quad camera steak.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra May Remove 10MP 3x Telephoto Camera

As per the report, Samsung may drop the 10MP 3x rear camera on the Galaxy S27 Ultra phone to optimise the materials bill and keep the price range to the previous Galaxy S26 Ultra. The decision to drop the camera is the direct consequence of the ongoing RAM Crisis and manufacturing pressures.

This means the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra may come with a triple camera setup this year. There will be a 200MP wide-angle Primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP 5x zoom telephoto Lens (folded zoom).

By dropping the secondary telephoto camera on the S27 Ultra, this phone will come in line with the other Galaxy S27 series models. Samsung may have taken this decision to boot the triple camera on the Plus and Pro variants.

However, despite the removal of one camera lens and ISOCELL for Sony sensors, the S27 Ultra could see camera upgrades.

Both the Galaxy S27 Ultra and Galaxy S27 Pro may get a new 50MP Ultrawide. While the 50MP 5x telephoto may be exclusive to the ultra and Pro get 12MP 3X telephoto.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to get a square 16MP selfie shooter. Samsung may copy Apple’s Centre Stage features, with the ability to capture in both 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios and AI tracking capabilities.

Samsung is cutting down on costs due to the RAM crisis by dropping a camera but maintaining the high-resolution optics.
